Huckabee takes a lot of questions about his unapologetically literalist Christian views, including some very specific ones.
Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee has been called upon to defend another Bible passage — the one about wives submitting to their husbands.
At Thursday night’s Fox News debate in South Carolina, Huckabee explained that the passage from the New Testament book of Ephesians also commands the husband to love his wife and submit himself to the Lord.
Huckabee said that while the Bible passage has nothing to do with being president, it is a guide for Christian marriage.
Whether you agree or disagree with the guy, he seems to accept these questions without too much defensiveness and answer them without complaint.
But Hitchens has noted that Mitt Romney doesn’t seem to get many of the same kinds of very direct questions from the mainstream press about specific tenets of the Mormon faith. And anytime such a question has been asked, he is somewhat defensive.
Mitt Romney appears to think that, in respect of the bizarre beliefs of his church, he has come up with a twofer response. Not only can he decline to answer questions about these beliefs, he can also reap additional benefit from complaining that people keep asking him about them.

Neither one of these nutjobs should be considered for the presidency.
