Bedtime blogging

Over at Atomic Tumor, they’re all fired up about their superfine new bed:

We were picky, now. We laid in many beds in the course of our shopping. We discovered that apparently california king beds are, despite the fact that they really kinda make more sense, not easily found in places that aren’t California. We found that most bed frames have foodboards, and are ugly. We found that furniture shopping is an facinating industry, filled with mazelike showrooms that lead to dead ends, leaving you prey for the slow but relentless salesperson to try to hit you with their latest financing offers, despite how many times you explain, in english, that you’re buying your bed with cash.

Finally, we found our Bed.

(I’m jealous. We so need a new bed at our house. We sleep in the lovely-yet-completely-rickety bed my great-grandmother, Miss Virginia Orr, was given on her 16th birthday. I’m pretty sure the mattress is of the same vintage as the bed itself.)

Oh, you’re not jealous yet. You can’t be properly jealous until you get a load of how crazy comfy that bed is. I’m shopping for a reason to become bedridden…

A bed is the best investment you can make.
