Bill Clinton compares Obama to Jesse Jackson

Posted By katie allison granju

He said:

“Jesse Jackson won South Carolina in ‘84 and ‘88. Jackson ran a good campaign. And Obama ran a good campaign here.”

This was in response to a question about it taking “two people to beat” Obama. Jackson had not been mentioned.

Honest and fair comparison, considering the context of the question, or race baiting?

You can watch the question from the reporter and Bill’s answer here:

The reporter didn’t ask Bill to comment on Jesse Jackson. Bill consciously played the race card IMHO. Stupid move.
