Buncha state legislators to announce for Romney
Mitt Romney’s older brother, Scott Romney, will be in attendance at a press conference today at Legislative Plaza Room 30 where it has been reported that no less than one dozen legislators will be endorsing Mitt Romney for President.
VolunteerVoters.com has been able to get a hold of some of the names before the big to do. Along with the previously reported host committee member, Rep. Jason Mumpower, former Governor Winfield Dunn and Senator Diane Black will endorse the former Massachusetts Governor before the assembled press.
In what has to been seen as coup for Romney, the campaign has also secured the endorsements of members of what has to be seen as the “conservative caucus” in state’s upper chamber: Senators Mae Beavers, Jack Johnson, Bill Ketron and Paul Stanley.
Among the names in the House chamber endorsing Romney will be Representatives Parkey Strader, Debra Maggart, Jimmy Eldridge and Chris Crider, the new Mayor of Milan.
The blogosphere’s favorite legislator Stacey Campfield, V-Squared can confirm, is not on the list.
