That’s what this blogger is asking:

Can somebody please tell me the relevancy of the Kennedy family to today’s political scene? Oh, I know what role they played in the past, but face it folks, as far as national relevancy today- surely to God they’re all played out by now. Their time has passed. The family juggernaut has gone down due to apathy, drugs, and TMI about their personal dramas.
