Dolly’s early appearances on Cas Walker’s “Farm and Home Hour” are the topic of Bill Williams’ “Our Stories” piece this week:
For decades, Cas Walker was a fixture in Knoxville politics, and on Knoxville television.
Among the memorable moments on Cas Walker’s “Farm and Home Hour,” which aired on WBIR, was the introduction of a young singer from Sevier County.

Dolly Parton is considered as the most successful female country artist in history, with 25 number-one singles and 42 top-10 country albums. This is what makes her popular and loved by thousands of people in US and all around the world. Her great popularity is noticeable while a concert. It becomes so hard to get a ticket and prices become so high. I missed many of her concerts just because of ticket prices. Lately, a friend has recommended me a site where to compare ticket prices for free before booking and I find it a great idea because this way I can look for the lowest prices offered.
