A small literary mystery for Knoxvillians (and perhaps someone can enlighten me).
In the back of the wildly popular, bestselling book (which Julia Roberts has optioned as a movie), “Eat, Pray, Love,” author Elizabthe Gilbert has a postscript that reads:
After returning from her travels, Elizabeth Gilbert ended up…traveling some more! Over the past several years she’s been back and forth between Bali, Brazil, Australia, Wyoming, Vietnam, Laos, Philadelphia, Cambodia, Thailand, and Knoxville, Tennessee….
It’s all a long story, which she plans to tell in her next book.
So anybody know what Gilbert was doing here? When she was here? Or what she’ll say about K-town in her next book?

I think she was teaching a creative writing course at The University of Tennessee around 2005-2006.
she was writer in residence at UT”s creative writing department. she is friends with michael knight. the metropulse did a feature on her while she was here and she did a reading at the UT libraries.
