So I have now spent too much time today attempting to connect with area organizations for Huckabee, Obama, Clinton and McCain. Why? because I want to put a local someone from each of these campaigns on TV later this week.
It seems like something they would want to do, right?
I’ve left innumerable phone messages, called several disconnected phone lines, combed through the candidates’ websites, and sent out more than a few e-mails. I did hear back from one state party official, but he told me he could not give me any Tennessee contact info for his party’s leading candidates because the “presidential campaigns don’t interact much with the state party office.”
So far, the only campaign I’ve been able to connect with directly is the Obama camp; I have their local supporter confirmed for the TV segment.
Seriously, people, you are not doing yourselves any favors making this so difficult for East Tennessee media who want to cover your candidates.

Hoo-ray for Obama’s people!
His “people”?
Would that include Che Guevera? Hoo-ray for Marxism, eh?
I bet you could find someone from the Ron Paul Ron Paul Ron Paul camp, even though he doesn’t seem to be running any more (it’s not very clear).
We’ve already voted in the primary, so they’ve probably moved on.
Go to meetup.com and search on meetup by topic; enter “mike huckabee” in upper right corner and click “search”; enter zip code and you should be able to find a grassroots group there to contact.
