It can be guaranteed that the Islamic extremists who monitor our resolve and remain vigilant for opportunities to attack innocent Americans are “hopeful” that Barack Obama will be the next President.

bold? no. ridiculous, yes, and also a fine example of why the GOP is losing favor - they have nothing to offer save Fear itself.
And this is what they are pushing with all their might at the less informed in our midst. And, heartbreakingly enough, when you get out in the hinterlands you hear this stuff being repeated like gospel. Just like the uninformed believe that Obama is Muslim (not true, his father was born Muslim but did not practice that faith and Barack was never taught the Muslim beliefs as his religion), that he attends a church that does not support America or allow whites to be members (not true), that America is not ready for the first black President (his mother is white, how is it that he is all black?) and that Saddam Hussein masterminded 9/11(acknowledged by GWB and DC to have been false but don’t confuse sheep with facts… they don’t want to hear them!) This is what we all are fighting, ignorance and a refusal to look for the truth. This will certainly be an interesting election.
Sorry,,,but the comment is fact. Hamas and several of the wolrds worst dictators and supporters of Terrorism have openly supported Obama. Obama himself,in his own book said he would side with the Muslims if the politics of America turn bad.

Obama was speaking about the internment of Americans who were of Japanese descent during WWII and said he would not do that to American Muslims. I have relatives in Tennessee and am grateful they are not as ignorant, stupid and racist as Hobbs and you!
The problem here is that the people who drop out of high school or only have a high school diploma (who are apparently the new equivalent of a high school dropout in our society) are getting all kinds of wrong information about Obama. One of the places they are getting this crap (all over the nation) is LOCAL talk radio, which tends to be right wing extremist in nature, high on personal opinion, and thin on truth (because it is personal opinion rather than legitimate peer-reviewed journalism). The ditch diggers, vinyl siding installers, and beer truck drivers hear it, think it is true because it’s on the radio, and lap it up. I watched my own vinyl siding guys doing it for three days. Teeth were falling out, vomiting from being out at the bar too long Friday night, but confident that they were the possessors of the “secret knowledge” that can only be found on conservative talk radio. If this country ever collapses, it will be because people like this sent the whole damned thing down the chute to the dumpster. Charles Dickens warned us about this kind of IGNORANCE in his famous story, “A Christmas Carol.” Read an excerpt below please:

Sorry, but Obama’s terrorist friends, strong fetish for Marxist and seeking Marxist, Anti american icons to mentor, and direct his campaigns and the fact his own church sends put newletters supporting terrorist organizations, visits and meets with terrorist dictators and spews racial hatred weekly from the pulpit should be enough for most Americans to see the red flags and have enouch common sense to not vote for him.
And we havent even touched on his high taxation, ruin the economy mentality.
Even with a week opponent like McCain, Obama will lose miserably.
I am sorry most of you liberals cannot see the facts for the blind allegaiance you have to a morally bankrupt party that sees murdering children and forcefully overtaking corporations they feel makes too much money as core beliefs. The Dmeocrats are following a long line of Losers…Lenin, Marx,Pol Pott, Castro…All failed to come close to what America has become…and like their mentors, the Democrat party will fail once again.

You must be thinking of Herbert Hoover, who once was the mastermind behind a worldwide relief program for poor and hungry. You must be thinking of Dwight D. Eisenhower who took millions of taxpayer dollars to build a worthless people’s collective highway system caled the INTERSTATE HIGHWAYS. You must be thinking about Richard M. Nixon who signed into law the bill that created the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and opened up talks with Red China back when they were North Korea’s twin brother. You must be thinking of Ronald Reagan who decided to talk to the Soviets at the height of the Cold War rather than nuke them. You must be thinking of George H.W. Bush who raised your taxes when he promised not to do so and poured gazillions of your tax dollars into environmental regulations and clean up at military and U.S. Department of Energy sites all over the nation—-calling himself “The Environmental President.” You must be talking about that traitor George W. Bush who dared to talk to North Korea and Libya rather than bomb them. You must be talking about Dick Cheney and Karl Rove who lied and cheated the American people up one side and down the other for eight years, never saw a special interest they were not willing to support, and was a key creator of the worst Presidential Administration in an American history.

Aulder Guy, the only thing that has got to me is common sense and a love for this country after serving it for over 20 years. You can call me what ever you will and overlook the facts about Obama. The truth doesnt change, history doesnt lie, and America will go on. You seem to have a very selective memory when it comes to history and legislation within this country.
A high ranking officer in our military told me once that the only difference between a terrorist and a Obama supporter was one used bombs,planes, and IED’s to destroy our country, and the other uses their vote.
So by all means, vote your conscience, support your Marxist, terrorist supporting candidate for President. Castro, and the terrorist leaders thank you for your support.

Well Matt. It looks as if we will have to agree to disagree. I am interested in something though. Your concern sounds so very personal, which suggests to me that you feel that Democrats have gone out of their way over the years to hurt you and your loved ones personally. If it would not be prying too much, I was wondering if you would be so kind as to explain to me exactly how you have been hurt so profoundly by their actions in the past. This is not a “set up” question for a tirade from me. I would really like to know and would really like to absorb a little education from my conservative friends out there about how they feel that they have been HURT PERSONALLY by Democrats. For example, did a particular Democrat bill or action in the past result in your father being unable to make monthly house payments—or something along those lines? Democrats in general, as a whole, vote aginst the very things I pout first in my life. Faith, Life and Freedom. I am an avid outdoorsman. 99% of the bills passed to try and take away my rights in that area are by Democrats.
Democrats of the last 2-3 decades are very Socialist in nature. This while idea of “for the collective good” is BS. Never did our founding fathers envision a society that demonized the rich for their wealth and demanded that they give to the poor and sustain them for life.
The very fact that the Democrats stand on a platform of high taxes, Socialism, Pro murdering children is a hugr red flag that they are reprobate as a whole and not fit to even represent citizens of this country.
Then we see what we have as of late….Democrats threatening to rob people of their 401K’s by taking the profits of oil companies and forcefully running the business themselves is SCARY, if people actually knew world history.
Seeing Obama threaten to dismantle our military,openly admit advancing military equipment programs will be drastically reduced and the fact that he openly admitted to seeking out terrorists, marxists, and radical muslims as confidants in his early political career is MORE than enough for ALL Americans to shun him and not give him a 2nd thought. Anyone who votes for this man is either very naieve and lives under a rock or is a socialist and want to see AMerica go down that path.

Wealthy: I am pretty well off too Matt.
Hunter/Fisherman: I do not hunt or fish Matt. My friends who do tell me that they do it because their is a primal urge in their blood that is so strong that it practically compells them to do it (sort of like a pregnant lady and her urge for pickles and ice-cream). From what they tell me, I think this urge must be partially genetic. The urge never was there for me, so I must have been born without those genes. However, I am not against hunting and fishing or those people who do. In addition, I am also not against gun ownership for hunting or weapons collectors, like my friend in Kentucky who collects WW I bolt-action rifles. However, I do have a problem with people who have several AK-47s; 100,000 rounds of ammunition; some hand grenades; and several crates of RPGs at their house. If you were to give these folks a psychological test, I would bet my last $100 bill that most of them would flunk it “Virginia Tech” style. These are the people the Democrats and police are worried about—not hunters and reasonable gun collectors like you. By the way, I do not own a single gun—not even a BB gun. I feel personally very safe and have never been threatened by someone with a gun or knife. I have never been robbed.
Church Member: Me too Matt.
Investment portfolio: Me too Matt, and some of it must be in big oil. However, that does not mean I have to like or respect the oil guys.
Own a 401K: Same here.
Against High Taxes: I am not really against them. I think of paying taxes as a privilige—a high calling—the right thing to do. My dad never made more than minimum wage during his regular working years, but he did not mind paying his taxes or having money withheld. He always felt justified in criticizing government because his meager tax payments were his stake in the show.
Big on the Military: Me too Matt. I have always been a strong national defense hawk. Historically, I had just as soon kick them in the ass first as look at them. I wanted the war in Iraq even more than Bush and Cheney. However, looking back on it now, I think this particular war was a bad mistake made even worse by political mismanagement and bungling.
I do think the Iranians are after nuclear weapons. Someone has to stop it. I think Obama or McCain should talk to them first. If nothing comes of that, someone will probably have to blast them. I was thinking about that just this morning. We hit their nuclear sites hard. They retaliate by sinking several of our ships in the Persian Gulf with Silkworm missiles and killing a few hundred sailors in the process. I am sure they will feel really good about getting us back. However, given our history with them, it will probably be necessary to send them back to about 32,000 B.C. after that—and we crtainly have the means to do it—which seems to be totally lost on thoses guys.
ProLifer: I am not thrilled with the idea of abortion and have some clear misgivings about it. If unmarried folks were to keep their pants zipped or use some birth control, we would not even be having this conversation. However, I am not totally convinced of the assorted moral/immoral and scriptural arguments I have heard—and I have heard ALL of them. My church (United Methodist Church) basically takes the same position. Bottomline: The Bible does not address the subject of abortion head-on, and religious folks only get to an argument for it or against it through making some personal assumptions about scripture and down indirect paths. Still—overall—I tend to think that abortion is not a very good idea and a really stupid approach to birth control.
You say you dont own a gun and feel safe….. my wife used to feel the same way…She didnt like them in the house. Then one night whle I was out of town someone tried to break in on her and our children and she used the gun to “fix” the situation…Not owning a gun is careless and not beiong responsible. it only takes one second to be a unarmed victim with no means of defense.
As for taxes…Our founding fathers said they were to be small and not oppressive. Paying 30% or more of my income to funs some crack whores and mentalmidgets who refuse to work because they have figured out the system wont require them to is BS.
Sorry, but the Bible does address abortion head on. Deut. 30-19 says to choose life so that you and your child might live.Jesus said that whoever harms a child would be better off to hang a millstone around their neck and jump in the sea. Christians cannot support a candidate or politicalparty that supports abortion and be true to God. if someone claims to have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit as the Bible says we will have I dont see how they even think opf supporting one for a single second.
Let me add that if I want to own a Ak-47, Ar-15 and 10,000 rounds of ammo, it is my choice and my right to do so. Maybe I already do.
The democrats tried to classify regualar hunting guns, and hunting ammo as “asault weapons” just because of the look of some of them. My sons 30-30 and his little 22 rifle would have been outlawed.
The first action of EVERY oppressive, radical regime has been an assault on the people right to own firearms. History doesnt lie. A political party that puts disarming the population as one of their core platforms has one thing on their mind..CONTROL.
Matt, I am glad to hear there are still people like you left in this country. The obamamaniacs simply do not get it. They are mesmerized by a slick orator & their white guilt makes them feel special if they vote for a black man even if the man is sayin g literally anything to get elected. They have no idea what his voting record is. They have no clue as to what he stands for. They think the Rev Wright church is just a quirky little thing that those black people do. They do not care that he wants to raise the cap gains tax b ecause they doi not understand what economic impact that will have. They do not care that he thinks all guns should be banned because they think guns are scary. They do not care that many in Iran, Saudi Arabia & other Mid East countries, including memebers of Al Quaeda & Taliban want him to be the next US President. They did not care that China wanted Bill Clinton as president back in 1992. They did not care that China got classified missle technology from Lorel. But they are hysterical that Haliburton makes a profit selling oil pipe. Any person who truly cares about America will run away from a candidate whose favorable election is cheered by our enemies. But that is the point, these people, like Obama, do not care about America. They, like him, simply say the pretty lies that people like to hear.
