Sergeant York helps Bob Tuke announce on You Tube

The Tuke campaign released a video announcement of Tuke’s candidacy on You Tube today:

Here’s the accompanying script:

Hello. I’m Bob Tuke. And that … is Alvin York. He was a son of Tennessee, a man of great faith and a soldier in World War I. He was awarded the medal of honor for leading an attack on a German machine gun nest during the U.S.- led offensive in France.
Sergeant York is a personal hero of mine – in part because he was a soldier – in part because he struggled mightily with the morality of war – and in part because, in spite of his concerns and the sacrifice involved, he served his country with honor and distinction.
In the spirit of Alvin York, I have decided to become a candidate for the United States Senate.
First and foremost I want you to know, I am not running against anybody. I am running for America and for Tennessee. In fact, this campaign isn’t even about me … it’s about you … your hopes and dreams for the future … your family … your business … your community.
I am offering myself as a candidate to offer hope, leadership and vision.
I want to begin this campaign by asking you to join me as we “Take the hill.”
That phrase means so much to me. I first heard it when I was a Marine. It was a code for action, a statement of urgency and a call to arms.
To my friends, supporters, fellow veterans and everyone who believes it is time to change America I say: Let’s take the hill, together.
Go to our website at TukeforTennessee.com. You can find us on YouTube, FaceBook and you can email me at tukefortennessee@gmail.com .
I believe that the people of Tennessee - Democrats, Republicans and Independents - are ready for real leadership to attack the problems that face America.
I am Bob Tuke. I approve this message … and I’d like to think that Sergeant York would too.

  1. Brentwood Secretarial Services said,

Just a quick note to inform you that Lamar Alexander still has an outstanding bill with Brentwood Secretarial Services owners from his first Governors race that he won in the 1970’s.
A telegram was sent to his home to let him know that several thousand dollars had not been paid and his attorney sent a letter saying that this was a form of harrassment. Lamar will not ever have my respect and he will eventually pay one way or another from his Higher Power for cheating a privately owned company that worked employees around the clock to get campaign letters out to the voting public from him and his darling “Honey” I am still livid because to me that is the lowest of the low to have hard working, honest people, some working 2nd jobs type and mail letters at “Warp Speed” for you and then not pay the invoices. He is a lying, thief and a cheat in my opinion and I was one of the owners at that time. Thank you for allowing me to get this off of my chest. When he was running for office a couple of years ago I saw on television that he had done that to some other company up north. He is the pits to me.
