I’m not completely thrilled with my current system for reading and organizing all the blogs I like to keep up with.
What reader/feed organizer do you use and why?
-Katie
Bad Behavior has blocked 816 access attempts in the last 7 days.
I’ve recently switched over to a new browser - Flock - and it allows me to combine my feeds with all my social networking and incorporates my email. I really like it because it keeps everything in one place, with one log-in, and it tells me whenever there’s any updates to anything. Really simplified twittering too, since it’s also a component of the browser. Firefox based. Nice.
Bloglines.
I used google reader for a bit but don’t like that you can’t navigate folders with the keyboard.
Bloglines (not the beta). Also tried Google reader and/or widgets on iGoogle. Went back to Bloglines.
This Flock sounds intriguing, tho.
I use liferea, flock, sage, or sharpreader, depending. But if you have multiple computers (eg one at work, one at home), google reader or bloglines are probably your best bet.
Original Bloglines (non-Beta), it is simply the best way to keep up.
I tried Google Reader, but it doesn’t keep up well with what I have read and what I haven’t.
SharpReader is nice, but it is sluggish. I’ve grown to like Google Reader, if for no other reason than I like having mobile access to my RSS feeds. Bloglines has a similar feature, but I’ve stuck with Google Reader for now.
To SU: Google Reader does have keyboard shortcuts, although they’re not as robust as one may want:
j/k: next/previous item
n/p: scan down/up (list only)
o/enter: expand/collapse (list only)
s: star item
+ s: share item
v: view original
m: mark item as read/unread
r: refresh
u: toggle full screen mode
+ a: mark all as read
