Presidential campaign as Passion Play?

So now James Carville says Bill Richardson is like Judas:

In the New York Times today, Clintonista James Carville calls Bill Richardson’s endorsement of Obama “an act of betrayal.”

“Mr. Richardson’s endorsement came right around the anniversary of the day when Judas sold out for 30 pieces of silver, so I think the timing is appropriate, if ironic,” Carville said.

Don’t forget that James Carville will be the guest at the local Dems’ annual Truman Day Dinner this year, so you can buy a ticket and ask him about this comment yourself.

Doesn’t that mean that Carville is comparing Hillary to Jesus? That’s a terrible comparison and one that the media should be all over. I can see it now on the National Enquirer next week:

“Hillary exposed as the new Christ: Carville accused of starting cult”
