Randy Nichols is all talk
Via Georgiana Vines:
Knox County District Attorney General Randy Nichols, a Democrat, said he got frustrated with East Tennessee lawmakers over not supporting some legislation he favored and threatened to run against state Sen. Jamie Woodson, R-Knoxville, but he’s calmed down now.
“I just bluster about. I throw my hands up,” he said when asked about the report that he was going to make the race. “I get frustrated and say things I don’t mean.”
He said he got upset because legislation he says would make it tougher on violent criminals was not being supported. A legislative financial note said the bill would cost $73 million, although Nichols and his fellow attorneys general across the state dispute the figure, he said.
