Waxing and waning

I’ve been taking some ribbing over at Say Uncle and from Aunt B. over my Deep Thoughts on the new local business, “Gentleman’s Top Cuts.”
Today I decided to give the haircut place’s blog another look, and perhaps a little more thought, as I planned to elaborate on my previous post on the topic later today.
And lo and behold, I notice they are thanking local bloggers (me included) for the attention they’ve been getting in the local blogosphere:
As we’ve mentioned, we are going to provide haircuts/manicures (and even a twig and berry waxing) to a few of the local bloggers this weekend.
The online community has been overwhelmingly supportive of us over the last few months, and we can’t wait to meet some of you folks in person.
The GTC blog then goes on to list some of the “lucky bloggers” they want to thank (again, me among them).
So, here are my questions: is a “twig and berry waxing” what I think it is? And if so, are some of the local bloggers they’ve listed actually going in for one? (I don’t think I’m eligible) And I gotta ask…is that even legal?
This place just gets more and more entertaining.

Shoot, if you can let someone rip the hair out of your nether regions, it only seems fair that men can have the same done. And I have to admit, I’d be curious to meet the man who would willingly submit to that.
heh. i’m with you that the twig and beery thing is too far.
Waxing does seem a bit much but there are male grooming devices out there that are pretty useful and, um, appreciated by others.
I was invited but politely declined. The haircut and manicure that is. Never knew the other was even done…
On Graham Norton’s show on BBC America, he convinced a man to have this done (discreetly) at a nearby salon while the show’s cameras filmed. Let me just say, the poor guy didn’t know what he was getting into and the screaming was really really LOUD.
Who’s that in the video ad & working for them… Kerry Gray! Aw Kerry, you’re so much better than that, hun.
Having been invited and attended the preview of GTC, I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were great. I had the haircut, manicure, and even a little waxing done.
First time ever for the manicure or waxing. No, i didn’t get the twig and berry but opted for something.
All said and done, I’d do it again.
