David Oatney says Mike Padgett’s type just doesn’t exist:
He also said he was an “Appalachian conservative Democrat.” In the mold of who, Mike? Who is Mike Padgett’s great political example-as the conservative that he was just on the radio claiming to be? Since Padgett himself has made this claim, I think it is a fair question to ask: To whom can we look to as a comparison for Mike Padgett’s political philosophy?

Um, Heath Shular comes to mind… look into his record. Pro-Life, Conservative Democrat. Almost like Jumbo Shrimp - a contradiction in terms.
But Shuler is a newbie to Congress…and when he lived in East Tennessee, he was a known Republican.
So who does Padgett model himself after…who is his political role model?
