Sociopolitical Sundown

The music has been okay, but I hate fighting the mass of humanity shoehorned into Market Square. Plus, an event like this always seems to draw out those people who want to make a spectacle of themselves, e.g., political campaigners, anti-war protestors, crusaders for cannabis, etc. I wish they would save this stuff for the appropriate venue. I go to Sundown for an evening of music, not sociopolitical discourse.


I have a different POV on this; I enjoy Sundown mostly for the people-watching, including the Obama campaigners, the performance artists and the street preachers…
