R. Neal. I have another theory about why the economy is tanking and people don’t have health care. God just might be fed up with Christian fundamentalist pharisees, T.V. preachers like John Hagee, their abandonment of the poor, their abandonment of his creation, and their abandonment of “simple shepherd” churches to build the “bigger barns” we call mega-churches. The double-edged sword cuts both ways.

But see, the reason the economy is tanking and people don’t have health care is because we have failed to protect the sanctity of marriage between one man and one woman, and in fact that’s what we’re over there in Iraq fighting to protect. Get with the program and quit being subversive.

I call it the “Look at this, it’s bright and shiny” diversionary tactics. I also agree with Frank, GWB for four more years back in the day.
