If the dispensational premillenialists are right (which I seriously doubt), you can bet on one thing. When old 666 arises, every fundamentalist TV preacher on the planet will rush into his arms blindly to support him in everything that he does. I think Jesus knew well that the chief priests, elders, and scribes of every generation would be much like those of His own---religious to the core---while missing the whole point of it all.
