The Crown & Goose Hosts Jingle Contest
Knoxville — June 5, 2008 — The Crown & Goose announced it will be hosting a jingle contest during the month of June for all eligible contestants in Knoxville and the surrounding area. The competition will kick off at the contest launch party on June 17th at the Crown & Goose. Contestants will perform their jingles June 24, 25 or 26 on the Crown & Goose stage before a live audience and a panel of Celebrity judges who will select six finalists to perform their jingles on July 1st. The contest grand prize will be a check in the amount of $500 for the winning jingle.
Crown & Goose owner, Pat Nash came up with the idea to create a jingle contest for locals to display their creativity after receiving strong feedback from a member of the Crown & Goose serving staff.
“As a new restaurant we were looking at radio advertising, but felt a catchy jingle would be a must,” said Nash.
Since its opening back in March, The Crown and Goose has already become a regular “locale” for a growing number of customers. The Nash family saw this jingle contest as one more way to “keep it in the family” for their existing Crown & Goose patrons and/or staff while building a passion and heritage to share as The Crown & Goose family grows.
“Since The Crown & Goose is really about the people that make it happen, we felt it was only appropriate to let the people propose the jingle that would represent us,” said Nash. “Having a talented local person create the winning jingle for us lets our customers be part of the process.”
Jingle Contest Entry Requirements and Information:
Contest sign-up is Tuesday, June 17th from 5 to 9 pm at the Crown & Goose
Only one entry per contestant, which can be an individual or group
Each contestant must be 21 years or older and a US resident to participate
Contestants will be assigned a time slot to perform for judges and a live audience on Tuesday, June 24, 25 or 26 at the Crown & Goose Stage between 6.30 and 9.30 pm
Six finalists will be selected to perform their jingle for judges and a live audience on Tuesday, July 1 at the Crown & Goose Stage between 6.30 and 9.30 pm
The Winner will receive a check in the amount of $500 from the Crown & Goose as well as local radio exposure as the contest winner
Winner will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and responsibility for taxes, as well as a waiver to release the rights of the jingle
