I was lucky enough to get to cover Bonnaroo for WBIR in 2005 and 2006, and the two festivals were among the most memorable, exhilarating, exhausting, overwhelming experiences of my life.
(This is me, working at my Bonnaroo campsite in 2006 and in 2005)
Last year, I was seven months pregnant when Bonnaroo rolled around, and this year I am mother to a 10 month old still-nursing baby girl, so going to the festival hasn’t been in the cards for me either year.
Maybe next year.
In the meantime, I am enjoying seeing the online coverage get rolling. Lauren Spuhler always does a terrific job covering the festival for the KNS, so I’ll look forward to her dispatches.

On Friday, two of our WBIR multimedia journalists will be heading to Manchester to spend the weekend there. They’ll be blogging, doing online and on-air video segments, and just generally keeping us in the Bonnaroo loop.
