Four day workweek for Knox County employees?

Posted By katie allison granju

A friend tells me that Knox County Commissioner Lumpy Lambert called in to the Hallerin Hill show this morning in response to Hill’s interview with an official of the city of Birmingham, which has just instituted a 4-day workweek.

My friend says Lambert expressed a lot of support for the idea of making the same change for Knox County employees, and suggested he would bring the issue up at the next Knox County Commission meeting.

Thank Goodness! I hope he can institue it!
It would make it easier to get to the City/County stuff without having to leave work early….and I won’t have to fight their traffic going to an from work!

I would be willing to come in at 7:30 a.m. and work until 5:30 at the latest.
I have to be somewhere at 6 p.m. some nights and I really did not want it to be messed up by this. I still wanted to do that, too.
