Maybe the Corkers and the Gores will join each other’s backyard BBQs
Bob Corker just bought a house in Belle Meade, the same super-affluent Nashville ‘burb where Al Gore makes his home.
From the AP today:
Property records show Tennessee Sen. Bob Corker’s new home cost the freshman Republican nearly $1.5 million.
The 4,000-square-foot home is located in the upscale Nashville suburb of Belle Meade. A spokeswoman says Corker’s principle residence will continue to be in Chattanooga.
Corker is a former Chattanooga mayor who was elected to the Senate in 2006.
One of Corker’s new neighbors is former Gov. Ned McWherter, a Democrat, who owns a condominium just up the street.
Another high-profile Belle Meade resident is former vice president and Nobel laureate Al Gore, who moved there in 2002.
