Nashvegas - one of America’s least walkable cities?

Posted By katie allison granju

A new survey claims Nashville is in the bottom of the barrel when it comes to walkability.

How do you think Knoxville would score? And how much does walkability matter to you when making living and work life choices?

It matters a whole lot to me, which is why I am so encouraged by the winds of change in the air suggesting Knoxville may begin putting more emphasis on sidewalks and walkabaility. Our greenways are already a great asset and only getting better.

I know I’m all European-ised and all, but walkability to me is huge. I love my car and wouldn’t give it up, but I also love being able to walk to the store, parks, restaurants, bars (back when I used to be able to fit drink in my life). I hate having to get into my car for small things.
